Baxter International edged up more than 1% after the company said Q2 sales rose 1% to $2.60 billion from the year-ago period which narrowly beat the Capital IQ mean for $2.59 billion. Adjusted EPS rose 37% to $0.63 from last year and topped expectations for $0.57.
It sees FY sales growth of approximately 3% on a reported basis, and EPS less items of $2.34 to $2.40. Estimates are for sales of $10.37 billion and EPS of $2.27. Q3 sales growth of approximately 4% on a reported basis and EPS less items between $0.58 to $0.60. Forecasts are for sales of $2.59 billion and EPS of $0.56.
